After strolling through the distinctive streets of the city of Tamanrasset, we set off toward Assekrem via Afilal (where streams and oleanders can be found). It is from this iconic place that we begin our expedition toward the famous Tassili of the Hoggar. We visit In Akachaker with its impressive sandstone domes, Tagrera, Tahaggart and Youf Ahaket (literally “better than the tent” in the Tuareg language).
Beyond the beauty of the landscapes unfolding before our eyes, there are here and there rock engravings revealing some secrets of Saharan prehistory. Return to the capital of the Ahaggar.
